‘A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.’
National Dentist Day was celebrated on March 6 to promote oral health awareness and educate our little Shishyans about the importance of oral health.
The Pre-primary children participated in various activities that taught them the importance of oral hygiene. They learned the proper way to brush their teeth with fun activities and interactive sessions. The things needed for self-care were displayed and explained.
The sorting of food items activity into healthy and less healthy categories enhanced their understanding of oral health.
An engaging and insightful session was taken by Ms Gurpreet Kaur, which started with an educational story and some interesting fun facts to make the children understand the importance of dental care. The children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. They understood the significance of the 2-2-2 rule of dentistry, that being- brushing their teeth twice a day for two minutes each time and visiting the dentist twice a year. It was indeed a fun-filled learning experience.
