Making Waves of Excellence: Shishukunj Interschool Swimming Championship 2026

The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, proudly hosted the Interschool Swimming Championship 2026, bringing together 17 distinguished schools and 121 accomplished swimmers in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, resilience, and excellence.

The competition was formally declared open in the presence of the distinguished management and the Heads of School, whose steadfast support and visionary encouragement continue to enrich and elevate such sporting endeavours.

The event reflected the institution’s unwavering commitment to holistic education, where academics and co-curricular pursuits are nurtured in equal measure. Serving as a dynamic platform provided by Shishukunj, the championship witnessed young athletes, many with notable state-level achievements and preparing for national-level competitions, competing with exceptional precision, endurance, and discipline.

In her address, Principal Ms Aparna Magee emphasised perseverance, integrity, and true sportsmanship, inspiring participants to strive for excellence continually.

The Overall Championship was secured by The Shishukunj International School, Jhalaria Campus, which attained the First Position, followed by The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, in the Second Position. New Digamber Public School secured the third position.

Shishukunj conveys heartfelt congratulations to all winners and applauds the remarkable spirit of every participant.

Kudos to the Sports Department for the seamless execution of this prestigious event. The championship concluded on an inspiring note, leaving all participants motivated to pursue greater heights.

Ojas Awards 2026: Recognising Scholastic Achievement

The second segment of Ojas Awards 2026, graced by the esteemed presence of the Management Members and Heads of School, was dedicated to celebrating scholastic distinction across Grades VI to IX and XI. The ceremony recognised Overall Class Toppers, Section Toppers, subject-wise achievers, and students commended for consistent effort and progress.

A total of 117 students were felicitated, including 6 Overall Class Toppers, 21 Section Toppers, 63 Overall Subject Toppers, 75 second-position holders, 68 third-position holders, and 52 students receiving subject-wise appreciation.

Each recognition stood as a testament to diligence, intellectual curiosity, and the pursuit of excellence.

In her address, the Principal, Ms Aparna Magee, emphasised that when learning aligns with discipline and effort meets endurance, academics and sports together shape true champions.

The occasion also acknowledged the collective efforts of students, educators, and parents in nurturing growth and achievement. More than a celebration of results, it was a tribute to perseverance and aspiration.

Shishukunj remains committed to upholding this spirit, continually striving to inspire, elevate, and empower every learner towards greater heights of excellence.

Ojas Awards 2026: Inaugural Day – Honouring Sporting Achievements

The inaugural Ojas Awards 2026 commenced on April 9, 2026, with a grand celebration dedicated to recognising sporting achievements. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of the Management, Heads of School, distinguished educators, the sports fraternity, and the Shishyans.

The event began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana, creating an auspicious and serene opening. A total of 196 awards were conferred, including 44 District Level Participation Awards, 99 District Achievers and National Participants, 46 National Participation Awards, and 8 National and International Achievers. Students were honoured for their outstanding performances across a wide range of sports, reflecting discipline, determination, and true sportsmanship.

Principal Ms. Aparna Magee, in her address to the august gathering, emphasised that sports cultivate discipline, teamwork, and resilience, empowering students to rise, persevere, and continually strive for excellence.

The ceremony reflected the institution’s unwavering commitment to holistic development, inspiring Shishyans to shine beyond the classroom. The Sports Department deserves special appreciation for its exemplary mentorship and steadfast dedication to nurturing young talent. The celebrations will continue with the felicitation of academic achievers on the following day, recognising accomplishments in scholastic pursuits.

Mar 12, 2026 / A Chef for a Day- Classes I & II

The students of Classes I and II enthusiastically participated in a fun and engaging food craft activity titled ‘A Chef for a Day!’. The activity aimed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and awareness about healthy eating habits.

Dressed in adorable chef attire, the young learners brought various ingredients from home. With great excitement and guidance from their teachers, they prepared a variety of delicious and healthy dishes. The classroom turned into a lively mini-kitchen where children eagerly mixed, arranged and decorated their food items.

The activity not only helped them learn the basic food preparation skills, but also highlighted the importance of nutritious food. Shishyans enjoyed presenting their dishes and sharing them with their classmates, which promoted cooperation and joy of sharing.

Overall, the activity was a delightful learning experience that combined fun, creativity, and healthy living. ‘The Little Chefs’ displayed great enthusiasm and confidence, making ‘A Chef for a Day!’ a memorable event for everyone involved.
