The pre-primary Shishyans of The Shishukunj International School, North Campus celebrated Republic Day with great spectacle and splendour. It was a fun- filled day for the students. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and the campus was buzzing with excitement with the students beautifully dressed- up in traditional attires. The day’s activities included discussions on the Republic Day, Art and Craft work, PPT on Republic Day and worksheets. The tiny tots of Nursery spoke on the topic, ‘Food of India’. The students of Junior KG delightfully spoke 5-6 sentences on different topics pertaining to India. One of the main attractions was the special assembly ‘Darpan’ by Senior KG students that reverberated the feeling of patriotism through cultural dances and patriotic songs. The day culminated with the National Anthem with each student’s heart ignited with pride for the motherland.

The Primary Shishyans of The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, embraced the spirit of Republic Day with fervour and gusto, marking the occasion with a plethora of performances that left an indelible mark on all participants.

The atmosphere was electric as the campus resonated with excitement, with Shishyans adorning themselves in resplendent traditional attire, setting the stage for a day filled with joy and cultural significance.

The highlight of the event was a special assembly presented by the talented students of Grade 2 Krishna and Kaveri, and Grade 4. This assembly encapsulated the essence of patriotism through a captivating display of cultural dances and stirring renditions of patriotic songs.

The performances were not merely entertainment but also served as educational tools, with one dance portraying bravery through the powerful rendition of the song “Aarambh Hai Prachand,” while another depicted the life and contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing his pivotal role in framing the constitution. Through these artistic expressions, the students gained insight into the intricate details of the constitution, comprehending its significance with remarkable clarity.

The festivities reached a crescendo with the recitation of the National Pledge and Anthem, as each student solemnly vowed their allegiance to the motherland. This culminating moment ignited a sense of pride in the hearts of all present, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values enshrined in the constitution.

 The spirit of patriotism and unity reverberated throughout the premises of The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, as the school celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event was organized meticulously and showcased a blend of traditional and modern performances that left a lasting impression on all attendees. Flag Hoisting Ceremony: The event commenced with the felicitation of the chief guest for the day Shri. Kalu Singh Panwar by Honourable director Mr. Manoj Davey and Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar. The national flag was unfurled by the esteemed Chief Guest Shri Kalu Singh Panwar, accompanied by the school directors Mr. Manoj Davey, Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar, and other dignitaries. The entire school stood in respectful silence as the flag soared high amidst the gentle morning breeze, symbolizing the nation’s unity and freedom. The school choir presented a reverberating patriotic song to the tunes of which the audience soared in the patriotic fervour.

Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar delivered a heartfelt speech that emphasized the importance of independence and unity. The principal highlighted the importance of sovereignty and encouraged the students to uphold the values of democracy, diversity, and inclusivity.

Exemplary dedication and commitment towards the institution was recognised and Ms. Raju didi was felicitated for her honesty and loyalty by Head Pre-Primary Ms. Rupa Shree Sapru.

The patriotic extravaganza continued with a vibrant and engaging Hindi patriotic poem recitation Competition.

Students from all the four houses: The Kalam House, The Dhyanchand House, The Devi Ahilya House and The Lata Mangeshkar House participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their talents and deep love for the country. The audience was treated to a medley of beautiful poetry written by eminent poets like Ashutosh Rana, Bharat Kavi Shri Maithili Sharan Gupt, Abhachharya and Shri Vineet Chouhan each carrying the intense feelings that stirred the emotions and overwhelmed each and every Indian present there. The first position was secured by Chanakya Mane of Dhyan Chand House. The second position was secured by Nikunj Vyas of Kalam House and third place was secured by Sarvagya Pandey and Vansh Agrawal of Devi Ahilya and Lata Mangeshkar Houses respectively.

The exemplary performance of the students in the Asset Talent Search was lauded along with the shishyans who excelled in Master Speller and various external exams.

The winners of the Sahodaya Inter School Junior and Senior Bal Vigyan Competition were lauded for their commendable achievements.

The Yuva Khel Diwas 2023-24 winners were announced-

I position – The Dhyan Chand House

II position – The Lata Mangeshkar House

III position- The Devi Ahilya House

IV position- The Kalam House.

“Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is reached,” Swami Vivekananda’s timeless words echoed through The Shishukunj International School, North Campus on Friday, January 12, 2024. This resonant quote marked the commencement of the ‘National Youth Day’, a celebration of Swamiji’s birthday, emphasizing the school’s commitment to holistic student development. The occasion witnessed the unveiling of a majestic statue dedicated to Swami Vivekananda’s enduring legacy, inspiring students to embody his teachings.

The festivities seamlessly merged with the ‘Annual Sports Meet,’ aligning with Swamiji’s vision of nurturing physical and mental strength. Swami Nirvikaranand Ji Maharaj, the Chief Guest for the event shared insightful anecdotes from Swami Vivekananda’s life, emphasizing the integral role of sports in education. On this occasion, competitions like sprint and 4×100 relay race, javelin throw, shot-put and standing broad jump etc. were organized, in which all the students participated with palpable enthusiasm. Esteemed attendees, including the school director, Mr. Dhirendra Davey, Mr. Manoj Davey, Mr. Vineet Sethia, Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Parihar, Vice Principal Ms. Asha Bhatia, Headmistress Mrs. Ameeta Chaudhary, and Mrs. Rupa Sapru graced the event with their presence. ‘Hope this festival, the string of education raises your future as high as the kite against the winds.’

 The students of Pre-primary classes of The Shishukunj International School, North Campus celebrated Makar Sankranti with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal on January 15, 2024. Our little Shishyans were welcomed with festive fervour and warmth. The mentors discussed the various aspects of the festival and it was reflected as beautiful drawings done by the children followed by making vibrant kites of different shapes and helping their mentors decorate their classes.

The munchkins watched the colourful kites dotting the sky with zest creating an environment of positivity and brighter days. Lohri was celebrated with the children dancing to the foot tapping beats with full energy around props depicting bonfires. It was not only a playful activity but a collective celebration of newfound warmth, signifying the cyclical rhythm of nature and the collective rejoicing of the renewal of life and prosperity.

As the day concluded, the school corridors echoed with exuberant children with twinkling eyes, each taking home beautiful memories and a desire of soaring high just like a kite.

‘Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.’ -Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

The students of the Pre-primary and Primary classes of The Shishukunj International School, North Campus celebrated Children’s Day with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal on November 18th, 2023.

Our little Shishyans were welcomed with eagerness and affection with the classrooms decorated with splashes of colour. The theme for the day was ‘To Students With Love’ and the students dressed up in colourful attire looking cuddly and adorable.

The talented educators of pre- primary level presented an enthralling programme. They staged a gala which included a play ‘Bhulakkad Ramu’, a puppet show, and a video of chain songs from 1960 to 2023 that got the buzzing audience thrilled to bits. They clapped and sang the songs happily. The Birdie Dance was the finale to which the children grooved rhythmically with their teachers. The air crackled with excitement as teachers awed the children with one performance after the other.

Another attraction of the day was the Tattoo making activity where various child friendly designs were made with the help of water colours on the hands of the students, which made them very happy and cheerful.

The Shishyans of the Primary classes had a field day too!  From mini football stars to aspiring tennis champions, the school corridors were adorned with pint-sized versions of sports legends, each child embodying the enthusiasm and passion that defines the world of sports.

The day kicked off with an array of games that brought out the competitive yet joyous spirit of the children.

One highlight of the day was the special movie screening that allowed the children to unwind and enjoy a moment of shared entertainment.

As the day concluded, the school echoed with the laughter and chatter of contented children, lot of pictures, wearing a smile of gladness and twinkling eyes each taking home memories of a Children’s Day celebration filled with joy, games, and the spirit of their favourite sports stars.
