To celebrate World Chess Day, the students of Senior KG Ruby and Senior KG Sapphire presented an engaging skit that highlighted the significance of the game of chess. One class was dressed in white while the other was dressed in black, symbolising the two sides of a chessboard. The children confidently portrayed the various chess pieces and brought the game to life through their expressive performances.

One by one, the King, Queen, Bishop, Rook, Knight and Pawns came forward to introduce themselves, explain their unique movements on the chessboard, and share their individual roles in the game. The skit also emphasised that every chess piece plays an important role and that strategy, planning, patience and teamwork are essential for success in the game.

The presentation was followed by a lively dance performance, where the children enthusiastically celebrated the spirit of chess through music and coordinated movements. Their confidence, energy, and teamwork made the celebration enjoyable and memorable, leaving the audience with a deeper appreciation of the game and the valuable life skills it teaches.
