Basant Panchami Celebration

‘True enlightenment begins with the pursuit of knowledge.’

Today, our little Shishyans celebrated Basant Panchami, a festival that marks the arrival of spring, with great enthusiasm and creativity. The day began with the chanting of the Saraswati mantra and a special vandana, setting a serene tone for the celebrations.

They showcased their artistic skills by creating beautiful flowers using varied techniques such as sponge dapping, paper mache and origami. The classroom was filled with a kaleidoscope of colours as children crafted roses, lilies, hibiscus, tulips, amaltas and sunflowers, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of spring.

To enhance their understanding of the festival, a PowerPoint presentation was shown, highlighting the significance of Basant Panchami and its association with the Goddess Saraswati, the patron of knowledge and arts.

The celebration aimed to instill an appreciation for nature, creativity, and the rich cultural heritage of India. The students participated with great zeal, and the event was a wonderful learning experience for all.

The day concluded with a sense of joy and a deeper understanding of the festival’s significance.

‘As spring blooms in nature, let learning and creativity bloom within you.’

Happy Basant Panchami!
