Harmony in Motion: Celebrating Yoga, Music and Well-Being
Celebrating the enduring connection between wellness, mindfulness, and culture, The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, observed International Yoga Day and World Music Day on Saturday, 20 June 2026. The celebration reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing healthy lifestyles and holistic development among students. This year’s International Yoga Day theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighted the importance of embracing yoga as a lifelong practice for physical vitality, mental well-being, and overall wellness.
The programme featured a guided yoga session led by the Sports Educators, during which students practised various asanas and breathing techniques and gained insights into their health benefits. The session encouraged students to view yoga not merely as an exercise routine but as a way to cultivate balance, discipline, and inner strength.
Adding a spiritual and cultural dimension to the celebration, the School Choir presented a soulful rendition of sacred shlokas dedicated to the essence of yoga. The melodious presentation created an atmosphere of serenity and reflection, beautifully complementing the spirit of the occasion.
The programme served as a meaningful reminder that the pursuit of well-being extends beyond physical fitness, encompassing mental clarity, emotional balance, and inner harmony—values that yoga and music continue to inspire across generations.
