It rained activities on July 28, 2023 for the children of the pre-primary classes. The ‘Rainy Day’ event extracted the best out of the children and parents alike as their zeal reflected in the colourful, unique and extraordinary rain accessories and props the children donned or carried to school for the event.

The programme commenced with an assembly on Monsoon by the students of Senior KG Emerald. Their confidence was praiseworthy.

What followed was a feast to the eyes. Our tiny tots of Nursery scampered along for a ‘ramp walk’. These cuddly bundles of joy lit up everyone’s day. The children of Senior KG then recited English and Hindi poems pertaining to rain with gusto. Next, dance performances by the little ones of Junior KG followed. The enthusiasm was contagious as the children grooved to perky rain songs.

The surprise element was the ‘rain dance’. Teachers, didis and bhaiyas used water squirters and bubble blowers to create an apt ambience for this dance. The children squealed and freely danced to foot tapping music.

To add to the festivities, the Nursery children played hopscotch with objects pertaining to rain, and Junior KG frolickers made paper boats and sailed them in tubs of water. The exuberance pulsated through the corridors wherein the Senior KG young ones dabbled with paints to colour pictures based on monsoon with a flourish.

The success of the event reflected in the laughter and chirpy chatter that followed the children home.
