Classes I & II Shishyans Celebrate Alice in Wonderland Day

The whimsical world of Wonderland came alive at The Shishukunj International School, North Campus as our young Shishyans of Class I & II celebrated Alice in Wonderland Day on July 4, 2026. The celebration commemorated the historic day in 1862 when Lewis Carroll first spun the magical tale for young Alice Liddell during a rowing trip in Oxford, England.

The day was a vibrant showcase of imagination, creativity, and confident public speaking.

Shishyans of Class I delighted everyone by stepping into the shoes of their favourite characters making the ‘characters come alive’.

The Class II students showcased their public speaking skills with expressive 8-to-10-line speeches. While some students narrated about their favourite scenes,  others chose to let their imagination soar by changing by creating interesting twists to the story! We heard the brilliant “What if?” scenarios.

The literary celebration extended beyond just speaking. Though it was an optional activity, we were pleasantly surprised when many children proudly brought in their cherished copies of the book, while others displayed incredible artistic flair by designing and decorating vibrant creative alternative cover pages transforming the classrooms into mini Wonderland!

The event successfully fostered a deep love for storytelling, boosted the public speaking confidence of our young learners, and reminded us all that a little bit of imagination can open the door to extraordinary worlds.
