Educators’ Enrichment Workshop on Divergent Thinking

A stimulating workshop on Divergent Thinking was conducted for all educators on Saturday, June 13, 2026, by Ms. Meha Davey, Associate Director, Shishukunj Group of Schools. The two-hour programme provided valuable insights into cultivating creativity, innovation, and independent thought in contemporary learning environments.

Through dynamic interactions, collaborative activities, and reflective discussions, participants explored the key dimensions of divergent thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The discourse centred on creating classroom experiences that encourage curiosity, multiple perspectives, and imaginative exploration.

The session highlighted the significance of divergent thinking as an indicator of creative potential and an essential competency for effective problem-solving. Educators explored how it helps learners overcome the fear of being wrong, develop greater comfort with ambiguity, and view mistakes not as setbacks but as valuable opportunities for exploration, reflection, and growth.

Insightful and thought-provoking, the programme equipped participants with practical strategies to nurture inquisitive minds and foster a culture of creativity, adaptability, and lifelong learning.
