SIS NC MUN 2026: Voices Shaping Global Perspectives
The Fourth Edition of SIS NC Model United Nations (SIS NC MUN) 2026 opened on July 24, 2026, with a grand ceremony, launching two days of diplomacy, dialogue, and global citizenship. Over 400 participants from Classes IV to XII, including delegates, Bureau members, the Secretariat, International Press, Media and Design teams, and Logistics Volunteers, transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of ideas and leadership.
The theme “Novaris Continuum: Beyond Today, Towards Tomorrow” inspired students to recognise that the future is shaped by present choices. Delegates engaged in rigorous debates across ten committees: WHO, UNESCO, IMO, WMO, DISEC, ECOSOC, UNHRC, UN Women, UNSC, and Lok Sabha. They addressed pressing global and national issues while refining diplomacy, negotiation, and leadership skills.
The event was graced by the school Management, Dr. Lalita Singh Ma’am, Principal of The Shishukunj International School, Jhalaria Campus, Heads of School, proud parents of the Secretariat, and spirited delegates whose enthusiasm set the tone for an inspiring conference. In her address, Dr. Singh encouraged participants to meet challenges with curiosity, confidence, and collaboration. Principal Ms. Aparna Magee urged them to transcend boundaries, embrace diverse perspectives, and lead with empathy and integrity, invoking Hannah Arendt’s reminder that “Words can reveal meaning, and meaning can shape the world.”
Day One witnessed purposeful debates, spirited negotiations, and informed discussions, with committees reflecting meticulous research, respectful dialogue, and a commitment to consensus on complex challenges. The day concluded with a lively Enrichment Programme featuring the Shishukunj Band, a video chronicling the vision of SIS NC MUN 2026, and enthralling Western dance performances that celebrated creativity, camaraderie, and the spirit of togetherness defining the MUN experience. The evening reaffirmed that SIS NC MUN is not only a platform for debate but also a celebration of unity, talent, and global citizenship.
