The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, celebrated Independence Day in the new premises for the first time this year. The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the special guest. Our special guest for the day Shri Bhagwan Singh Ji, an employee of the school, has been working on this land even before the foundation of the school was laid, was chosen to do the honours keeping with the school’s vision of humble and smart students. 

The celebration included speeches and a vibrant amalgamation of song, dance and oration. The performances began with a patriotic song and was followed by a dance drama highlighting the Kargil War. The poignant presentation was a mixture of Hindi and English. The performance  gave everyone goosebumps and brought a tear to every eye in the audience. The presentation ended with a mesmerising saxophone presentation. Children departed, after partaking in some delicious snacks.

The celebrations brought our patriotic feelings to the fore. It was an Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav indeed.
