June 29 2026
International Mud Day was celebrated with great excitement in the Pre-Primary and Lower Primary sections on June 29, 2026. The celebration aimed to encourage children to connect with nature through hands-on experiences and to cultivate a sense of belonging, care and responsibility towards their surroundings.
As part of the celebration, children brought small containers of clean mud from home and participated in a unique activity where they scattered the mud with their hands in the school garden and open areas near the saplings. The activity symbolised the idea that the school is an extension of their home, a second home, where they experience comfort, togetherness and collective growth.
The activity provided children with opportunities for sensory exploration and experiential learning as they touched, played with, and engaged creatively with mud. The experience sparked curiosity and encouraged playful learning.
The celebration was filled with muddy hands, infectious laughter, and enthusiastic participation as students eagerly took part in the activities. The celebration created a joyful atmosphere, strengthening the children’s connection with nature while promoting cooperation and spirit of exploration.
