World Music Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the Pre-Primary and Primary sections on June 19 and 20, 2026. The celebration aimed to foster a love for music, encourage creative expression, and help students appreciate different forms of musical art.

Shishyans were introduced to the educators of the music department and explored a variety of musical instruments, including the tabla, congo, beatbox, daf, digital keyboard, and guitar. Through interactive demonstrations, they learned about different sounds, rhythms, and musical styles.

The celebrations featured live age- appropriate songs such as ‘Lakdi ki kathi’, instrumental performances, and engaging musical presentations highlighting the difference between singing with instrumental accompaniment and singing without instruments, helping students gain a deeper understanding of musical expression.

The children enjoyed instrumental renditions of popular themes, including the Harry Potter soundtrack, as well as a special song presentation by the teachers. The lively performances created a vibrant atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers.

The Open Air Theatre as well as the Kalangan resonated with cheerful melodies, captivating the audience and filling the environment with joy and excitement. Through these experiences, students developed musical awareness, rhythmic understanding, self-expression, and an early appreciation for music.
