As a precursor to the Zero Shadow Day or No Shadow Day, the children were familiarized with the term ‘shadow’. Also, a worksheet pertaining to shadow matching was attempted by the children.
On August 18, 2023, after 12.15 pm, the children formed circles holding hands in the school campus and witnessed that after 12.20 pm, the shadows disappeared. No shadow existed when they looked down at the ground.
It was an exciting and eventful activity indeed.
