November 14 2025
The campus glowed with warmth, light and anticipation as shaam-e-Anugoonj unfolded in all its splendor on November 14, 2025. More than 500 students came together to create an evening that celebrated art, music and imagination in their most radiant forms.
The program opened with the enthralling Orchestra and Choir performance, “Aadaranjali”, a heartfelt tribute to the famed and forgotten maestros of Indian music. Eighty-four young musicians crafted waves of melody that set the tone for an evening rooted in harmony and grace.
This tranquil beginning flowed into the divinity of the Ganesh Vandana, choreographed to Pandit Jasraj’s Raag Kedar. Each gesture, each rhythm invoked auspiciousness, marking a sacred start to the night’s celebrations.
A spirited Western Folk Dance Medley carried the audience across continents: from the festive Russian Kalinka, to the pulse of Japan’s Yosakoi, to the joyous West African Sinte. Eighty-five dancers brought these stories alive through rhythm, grace and exuberant movement.
The stage soon shifted to the world of drama, where Shishyans displayed expressive brilliance across three languages and three creative canvases.
The Hindi play, “Sadachar Haazir Ho,” brought satire to life with sharp humour and a meaningful social message. Students brought the political absurdities and social quirks of the narrative alive with spirited performances, impeccable comic timing and a relatable modern interpretation.
The Sanskrit presentation, “Shivsūtrajālam,” was a refreshing and imaginative celebration of linguistic heritage. The performance beautifully showcased the evolution of Sanskrit’s structure while displaying impressive command over diction, rhythm and stage presence.
The evening then soared with the English Musical, “The Greatest Showman.” Performed by 175 students, the production dazzled with its stirring vocals, vibrant choreography and a moving narrative about acceptance, courage and dreams. Songs like A Million Dreams and This Is Me turned the auditorium into a world of colour and celebration.
The anchors guided the evening with poise and expressiveness, weaving every segment together with clarity and charm. Their thoughtful introductions and smooth transitions ensured the entire program flowed effortlessly.
The prop-making team transformed the campus into a visual experience through thoughtful installations and carefully crafted elements. Their artwork added depth, atmosphere and thematic detail to each performance. These creative touches elevated the stage, making every act richer and more immersive.
Anugoonj 2025 ended not with silence, but with a lingering brightness; students smiling, parents applauding and the campus echoing with a gentle afterglow. As the lights softened and the stage settled, the spirit of Anugoonj remained: alive, vibrant and waiting to bloom again.
