Teachers at The Shishukunj International School just completed an enriching workshop on the ” Importance of Communication and Theatrics in the Classroom” led by the incredible Dr. Asher R. Jesudoss, an IBM-certified trainer and a resource person at NCERT, on May 4, 2026.
The session got underway with an engaging activity that highlighted the power of non-verbal communication—from expressions and body posture to voice modulation and pronunciation. He particularly expounded on the strategic and prudent use of the eyes, hands, and posture in a classroom scenario. Educators explored dynamic ways to connect with diverse learners, including audio-visual, kinesthetic, naturalistic, linguistic, and several other kinds of learners, bringing excitement and energy to every lesson. On the spot, one-minute skit presentation by teachers who were divided into groups helped teachers hone their skills in distinguishing verbal vs. non-verbal cues and delivering impactful stories. A whirlwind of happy chatter and active participation of all teachers in voicing their classroom experiences and spirited performance throughout is a testimony to the grand success of the talk.
It was a truly captivating and empowering experience for all! The take aways from this session, when implemented in the classrooms, will surely make the classes more engaging and interesting for all students.
