An adventure trip to Coorg was organised by The Shishukunj International School , Jhalaria for the students of Class IX spanning from the 30th December to the 4th January. A vibrant cohort of 86 students comprising 37 boys and 49 girls embarked on this memorable journey along with nine educators. Curated by the expert team at Youreka, the itinerary offered a perfectly balanced and compact blend of adventure, environmental awareness and spiritual rejuvenation for the excited student tourists.

The Coorg campus was a splendid sanctuary, nestled amidst the majestic green cover of coffee and cardamom plantations sheltered under the thick canopies of pristine rainforests and with the background of the glorious peaks of the Western Ghats. The students immersed themselves in the raw bounty of nature experiencing eternal peace.They were captivated by the gurgling
sound of the softly flowing streams, the earthly aroma of the petrichor, post monsoon freshness of the woodlands and the sight of the lush green hills gently fading behind the veil of morning mist. The major attractions of the trip were learning outdoor survival tricks in the wild, Rope course building their physio-mental agility, Night out session pitching tents and dancing around bonfire- a moment of cherished togetherness, Rock Climbing a test of courage and grit was followed by a high energy day at the Helter Skelter Camp where the spirit of the students was at its peak as they experienced adrenaline rush. Here friendships and teamwork strengthened giving birth to unforgettable memories for life. The next day was spent at the Elephant
Sanctuary after an invigorating experience at the Skandagiri Camp.

This visit offered invaluable insights into the real world and environmental biodiversity, leaving the students with the message of appreciating wildlife conservation and maintaining ecological balance. The final day was tinted with introspection and spirituality amidst the serene embrace of nature at Isha Foundation. Students got absorbed in ultimate peace and calmness of mind through yoga and a session on meditation. All in all, the trip left the students rejuvenated, culturally enriched and profoundly eager to witness many such ethereal destinations in future.
