SEWA Programme 2026: Spreading Smiles, Nurturing Compassion

July 24 2026

he SEWA Programme 2026 has commenced with great enthusiasm, as the students of Class XI stepped beyond the classroom to touch lives and hearts through meaningful acts of service. Their visits to various community centres are not merely outings—they are journeys of compassion, kindness, and human connection.

As part of the programme, our Shishyans regularly visit:

  • Shiksha Sarovar Welfare Society
  • Government School, Jhalaria
  • Jeevan Shala
  • Anubhooti Sewa Vision Centre

At these centres, our students spend quality time with the children and inmates by teaching, singing, dancing, playing games, listening to their stories, and simply being there for them. What may seem like a few hours of interaction often becomes the brightest part of someone’s day. A shared laugh, a warm conversation, or a simple gesture of affection has the power to bring hope and happiness to those who need it most.

The true essence of SEWA lies not only in serving others but also in transforming oneself. These experiences awaken empathy and gratitude in our students. They begin to appreciate the privileges they often take for granted and realise that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in another person’s life.

While the smiles they bring to the faces of others are priceless, the greatest reward is perhaps the one they carry back home—a heart filled with gratitude, a deeper sense of responsibility towards society, and the quiet satisfaction of having made someone’s day a little brighter.

At Shishukunj, we believe that education is complete only when it shapes compassionate hearts alongside brilliant minds. Through the SEWA Programme, our Shishyans are learning one of life’s greatest lessons—that the joy of giving is far greater than the joy of receiving.
