Guardians protect the nation’s pride,
They always stand tall and wide.
The brave and strong Indian soldiers,
Sustain agony for us to sleep peacefully over.
A big salute to the fearless custodians
we should pay,
Captain Vikram Batra should be remembered
on Army day.
The renowned soldier won the Param Vir Chakra.
For his triumphant victory,
he received India’s highest award of
gallantry.
It was 1999 in the Kargil war,
Sadly he left us at the age of twenty four.
Nationalism made him sacrifice his life,
To give our country liberty and stay alive.
From the enemies who attacked our country,
He and his troops fought with them
rather tough.
But we won’t let his sacrifice go in vain
And will always be proud of how he received pain.
For the dignity of the Tricolour
and our incredible nation,
We will always be determined to follow,
his footsteps with a lot of passion.
