Rain drains in the streets,
Already surging in water,
Coming down in sleets,
Hitting every traveller.
Drops drum furiously on rooftops
As to make their presence known,
Puddles gather on sidewalks
Where infection will be grown.
Keeping everybody inside,
Flooding basements and drives,
But try, look the other way,
And step out in the tide.
Let drops trickle down your spine,
Making every cell alive,
Let wind whip your hair from your face,
And oh! See what peace you’ll embrace.
