A CBSE Capacity Building Training session on ‘Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms’ was conducted on 11 October 2026 for 55 educators from the Jhalaria and North Campuses. The session was facilitated by Dr. Prakash Choudhary and Mr. Kuldeep Purohit, both CBSE Resource Persons for the Centres of Excellence in Bhopal and Dehradun, who brought extensive training expertise alongside their rich experience as Principals of different schools. The training aligned with CBSE’s ongoing emphasis on AI readiness, responsible classroom integration, and professional development of teachers.
The interactive session introduced educators to the meaning and scope of Artificial Intelligence, its growing role in education, and its practical utility in day-to-day teaching. The resource persons discussed AI-enabled tools for lesson planning, content creation, assessment, and personalised learning, while also addressing the challenges of implementation in school settings.
Participants engaged actively in discussions on how AI can support differentiated instruction and learner-centred classrooms. The session also examined important ethical concerns, including academic integrity, data privacy, over-dependence on technology, and the need to retain the teacher’s central role in guiding learning. The educators appreciated the balanced approach, which presented AI as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for professional judgement.
The training concluded with a renewed commitment to explore AI thoughtfully and responsibly in classroom practices, ensuring that technology enhances teaching, learning, and assessment while upholding educational values.
