A two-hour session on ‘Fostering Divergent Thinking in Classrooms’ was conducted  for educators across all subjects from Pre-primary to Class VIII on 2nd May 2026 by Mrs. Meha Dave , Associate Director , The Shishukunj Group of Schools. 

The session explored the four pillars of creative thinking—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Two immersive activities were woven in: first, educators transformed simple circles into as many unique, recognisable objects as possible within four minutes, deliberately prioritising variety over artistic skill to unlock rapid ideation. 

The second guided them to redesign lesson plans that actively prompt students to think creatively and generate multiple out-of-the-box solutions. By reframing the fear of being wrong as a pathway to exploration, teachers gained practical, classroom-ready strategies to help learners break mental fixedness, embrace ambiguity, and build an innovation-ready mindset.

This session ignited the minds of the educators , motivating them to always ‘ think out of the box’ and inspire students to do the same. The creative inputs given during this session will surely translate into more interesting and innovating teaching in classrooms.
