Shishukunj successfully conducted the Inter-House Word Power Competition for students of Classes VII and VIII on 28th July 2026. Students of Class VI attended the event as the audience, making it a valuable learning experience for a wider student community.
The competition featured a series of thoughtfully designed rounds that tested participants’ proficiency in spelling, vocabulary, word usage, idioms, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, figures of speech and general language awareness. The rounds included Spell Me Right, Use Me Right, Idioms, Spellathon, Synonyms, Antonyms, Pot Pourri and Rapid Fire, challenging students to think critically, respond confidently and demonstrate their command of the English language. The event was seamlessly compered by the students of Class X, who confidently showcased their communication, leadership and presentation skills.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and remarkable linguistic talent from all four houses. After an exciting display of knowledge and teamwork, Devi Ahilya House secured the first position, while the second position was jointly shared by Dhyan Chand House, Kalam House and Lata Mangeshkar House.
The competition not only enriched the students’ vocabulary but also fostered confidence and healthy competition, making language learning both engaging and meaningful.
The event concluded with a group photograph of all the participants and student anchors, capturing the spirit of teamwork and healthy competition.
