Session on India’s Role in Promoting World Peace

The Interact Club is the school’s community service club which gives students an opportunity to discover the power of service above self. It aims to introduce them to the joy of giving, sharing and caring, to sensitize them to the people and environment around them.

As part of the Speaker Session of the Interact Club Col. Surender Phalswal and Col. Kulin were invited to throw light on India’s Role in promoting world peace.

Col. Phalswal has been serving in the Indian Army for the last 24 years. He has been an instructor in the commando wing, Belgaum and Corps Battle School, Rajouri and was selected to represent the Indian military training team at Bhutan.

Col. Kulin has also been serving in the Indian Army for the last 23 years and was selected to represent the Indian Army in the United Nations Peace Keeping Force in Sudan.

Col. Phalswal spoke on the cordial relations between India and Bhutan and the various areas in which the two countries are collaborating . He explained the strategic location of Bhutan and the steps being taken by both countries to protect their borders.

Col. Kulin threw light on the important role of the United Nations and explained in detail the working of the Security Council.

Videos and slided made it a very engaging session and the students gained from it immensely.
