Shishukunj MUN 2025

July 31 2025

From July 31st to August 2nd, 2025, the Shishukunj family celebrated a huge milestone, the 10th edition of the Shishukunj Model United Nations. With over 1000 delegates and a strong team of 100 logistics members, the event truly lived up to this year’s theme, “Samprikti: Bridges to a Better World”. For three exciting days, our school turned into a hub of ideas, debates and diplomacy.

This year’s MUN brought together 21 committees under four main organs– General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, Indian Committees and Specialised Agencies. The agendas were as diverse as they were challenging, covering global peace and security, trade laws, national policies and much more. Committees like the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), US Senate, Lok Sabha, and UNCITRAL kept delegates on their toes as they researched, lobbied and debated their way to resolutions.

The opening ceremony, including the gavel ceremony, set the perfect tone for the conference. Our Chief Guest, Dr. Deepak Joishar,  Managing Director of Specialty Organics Pvt. Ltd., shared words of wisdom that encouraged delegates to think big, stay curious and work together to solve problems. His speech was a reminder that leadership is built on both knowledge and empathy.

The cultural evening was a real highlight. After a long day of intense debate, everyone came together to celebrate creativity and talent. The Shishukunj band kicked things off and a mix of Indian and Western dance performances kept energy high. It was a warm, joyous reminder that MUN is as much about human connections as it is about policy.

Across the three days, classrooms became conference rooms, corridors became discussion hubs and the entire campus buzzed with the energy of delegates working together: sometimes agreeing, often debating, but always learning. The diversity of topics ensured that everyone, from first-time delegates to seasoned MUN veterans, had the chance to grow their skills in public speaking, negotiation and teamwork.

As the conference drew to an end, the Secretary General’s closing words reminded everyone that beyond awards and resolutions, the true success of MUN lies in the friendships made, the confidence gained and the bridges built.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Secretariat, Bureau members, MUN Coordinator Mrs. Neelam Bhasin, and the School Management for making the 10th edition of Shishukunj MUN such a memorable and enriching experience. Here’s to many more years of debates, ideas, and building a better world, together.
