As part of the British Council Project on ‘Emerging Economies Across the World’ Mrs. Anuradha Guru of Port Moresby International School along with Ms. Vaibhavi Guru gave a presentation on the economy of Papua New Guinea to the students of Class VIII. With the help of an interesting presentation, they threw light on the salient features of the economy of Papua New Guinea. They emphasised that the economy is primarily dependant on agriculture and is far behind in areas of technology as compared to India. They spoke at length of the rich culture and heritage of this far off nation. The interactive session that followed gave students an opportunity to learn more about this country.
