The Social Outreach and Welfare Programme got off to another  flying start during Pratibimb 2023  with the sale of eco friendly bags by the students of Class XI . Along with bags, they also sold postcards designed by the students. The funds raised by this sale are to be used for various charitable purposes. 

But the sale of bags and postcards  was just the beginning. The students  soon embarked upon various other projects, with the aim of making a small positive difference in the lives of people whom they interact  with. A smile, a ray of hope is all they  aspired to bring on the faces of the young and old . 

Their week is action packed with the following :

• Monday: Visit to the old and the abandoned at Mother Teresa’s home Jyoti Niwas in Navlakha
• Tuesday: Service in school 
• Wednesday: Literacy classes in the government school in Jhalaria
• Thursday : Visit to the animal shelter in Jhalaria
• Friday: Visit to Aanchal centre near Bombay Hospital

Participating in these programmes is helping develop  a feeling of empathy in the students.  They  not only   learn to value what they have,  but also  to care and share and ultimately become  better  human beings who will bring about a positive change in the world. 

A small beginning, but an surely an important one !
