An orientation session for Model United Nations (MUN) for the students of Class V was conducted by the representatives of the Senior Wing MUN on Monday, 3rd July 2023, in the auditorium. The session aimed at imparting knowledge to students about the concept and technicalities of the Junior MUN. The Senior Wing MUN representatives briefed their younger counterparts on the protocols followed and procedures involved in debating as delegates of the United Nations. This interaction culminated with a ‘Q and A’ session wherein queries of students were answered. This educational simulation aims at helping students learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations. MUN teaches the participants skills like research, public speaking, debating and writing, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership. Students listened with rapt attention and are keenly looking forward to participating in the actual event which is scheduled in August.
