The Ultimate Value of Humanity

I often think of those creatures
Who long and crave to be free
And who are caged by zookeepers
For the entire world to see

Their eyes have stories about their life
In the forests before the cage
And all the pain, sorrow and strife
They went through before coming to this stage

It’s high time we humans stop captivity
Of animals and promote freedom
Which is the ultimate value of humanity
And bring prosperity to Mother Earth’s kingdom

We must coexist and live in harmony
If we want our ecosystem to progress
This will bring joy to every colony
And relieve all kinds of distress

Material Possessions

Things, things, things,
they are everywhere in my room . . .
things leading my faith
into a state of disrepair.
That’s when my eyes say look out of the window.

Things taking up my time,
running my life too
things keeping me from . . .
the “thing” I should do.
Just look out of the window, say my eyes.

Things cluttering my mind,
taking over my thoughts
The clumsiness the things have brought me
things that I have bought.
I should look out of the window….

Things, things, things,
causing me grief and strife
getting rid of those things . . .
not leading to eternal life!
My eyes were right, this I realise when I look out of the window.

1857- A Beginning

In 1857, a spark did ignite
A flame of hope, in the darkest night
The people rose, with one voice, one goal
To break the chains, and reclaim their soul

The sepoys, they led the charge ahead
With courage, that inspired the dead
They fought for freedom, they fought for rights
For a nation, that was denied its lights

But the British, they had the strength and might
And the rebellion was put to fight
The sepoys, they were captured, killed
But their spirit, forever thrilled

For their sacrifice, will never be in vain
Their legacy, forever to remain
For they fought for a cause, that was just and true
And their bravery will forever shine through

The 1857 rebellion, a tale of hope
For a nation, that learned to cope
For it showed that even in the darkest hour
We can rise and reclaim our power.

Reality Shifting

Reality shifting was one of the most talked about subjects in 2021 and 2022.

This topic always seems to catch attention. So, what is reality shifting?

Many think of it as dreaming, but do you feel anything when you dream? No, dreams are not controllable unless you are lucid dreaming. When you shift realities, your consciousness literally shifts to another universe or reality in this multiverse.

In simple words, for example you have a choice to wear a red shirt or a blue shirt and you choose to wear the red one. There will be an alternate reality where you would have chosen the blue shirt.

Reality shifting shifts your consciousness there, in that reality. And shifting there feels absolutely real, you can take decisions, you can feel emotions, etc. It is exactly like reality but you are physically not there.

Shifting realities can also be planned using a timeline. One hour in my actual reality would be one week in my dream reality. Scripting your own story can also be helpful.

Many methods can be used to shift realities. Shifters, the people who claim to have shifted, say that shifting requires a calm and clear mind, a lot of determination and patience. Once you have mastered it all, you can drift off into the fantasy worlds of your choice, like Hogwarts or a fictional world from your favourite novel!

The Ball

I was shopping at a supermarket when I saw a very strange ball kept among some yellow sponge balls. It was a beautiful black ball with bright blue patterns on it. Luckily, I saved fifty rupees after buying all the groceries. Since the ball cost only forty five rupees, I decided to buy it.

I came home, gave the groceries and the remaining five rupees to my mother, but didn’t tell her about the ball.

The next day was Sunday. My mother told me to clean the attic. When I was doing that, I saw a large box with my father’s name written on it. He had passed away when I was four years old. When I opened the box, I found a camera, some tape recordings and a similar kind of ball that I had purchased from the market – black ball with blue patterns.

I immediately called my best friend after I had finished cleaning. We spent the whole day watching the tape recordings and studying the notes that I had also found in the box. Monday was no different. We kept on studying them. Finally, at night, we found out something – the ball that my father had was a dream catcher and the ball that I had purchased from the market was a portal opener to a specific dream.

We started yelling in excitement. Hearing the noise, my mother entered the room. She immediately snatched the balls out of our hands. When we asked her why she was so scared, she told us everything that had happened because of those balls.

That day I found out that my father had not died but he had managed to enter someone’s dream and had never returned. I couldn’t sleep that night. Weird thoughts popped in my head. I finally decided to bring my father back home.

When I took a look at the ball, a red dot was glowing on it. Just as I pressed it, a portal appeared in front of me. I grabbed the ball and entered the portal to see a giant, ugly candy monster ready to swallow me. I ran for my life. Just when it caught me, a man came and rescued me. Later, I found that that man was my father!

Somehow, we managed to escape from the monster. I looked around and saw that the place was a huge candy desert. I was surprised that my father had managed to survive there for ten years! I opened the portal again and went back home along with father. My mother was overwhelmed to see both of us. She cried a pool of tears and literally, didn’t stop for two hours! We were all very happy to be together again.

Next day, news came that a child had been in coma for the past ten years. But I was surprised to see that he had gained consciousness just when I had brought my father back home.

Uncertain

Is it just me or the faces are two?
Something is off;
Maybe it’s true.

Those masks drove me to somewhere unknown,
They have a seed of trust so far sown.

None of them seems unfamiliar,
Then what is it that’s making me uncertain?

It’s the situation,
Or the
Faces I see in this situation?

Someone is warm,
Someone is cold.

But the warmth feels cold,
And the cold feels warm.

Is it just me or the faces are two?
Something is off;
Maybe it’s true.

Why do I still don’t believe whom I’ve always known,
But why do I trust someone who I recently met?

Why are the three sides of every time,
What I see,
What you know,
and the truth.

Is it just me or the faces are two?
Something is off;
Maybe it’s true.

My Wishes

Whenever I see the night sky,
When I gaze at its scintillating star,
I just wish I could freely fly,
And travel to all lands far.

I wish I could see the creek,
Pure and abundant with water,
I wish I could take a peek,
And read the books of Harry Potter.

I wish I could share my pain,
With someone, but not too loud.
I wish I could teach the vain,
To be humble and not proud.

But alas, I am not free,
As I am nothing but a caged bird.
But one day, I believe I’ll see,
All my wishes, without a word.

Diwali

Playing in the garden they saw someone,
Innocent as a dove, his face shining like the sun,
In whatever he may do, they found something special,
Gazing at him walk by, people knew he was exceptional.

He was the son of Dashratha,
The eldest of them all,
But somehow the light within shone forth,
And each problem he succeeded to forestall.

All knew he would be the chosen heir,
But as is said, “Life isn’t always fair.”
Then came in Manthara, Kaikeyi’s maidservant;
Enraged by the news of the crowning in torment.

Kaikeyi asked for a boon; one no one had foreseen,
“Make Bharat king, I want you to decree.
As for Ram comes a 14-year-exile,
Introducing a complete change in his profile.”

Forward walked Ram, his face expressionless;
But towards his mother he was respectful.
Obeying her orders with full contentedness,
He went into exile with not one question.

With him went Sita, and his brother Lakshman,
And there he set foot outside the fort.
Outside to carry them waited charioteers and carmen;
And villagers in dismay ridiculing the court.

Then one day came a saint looking for alms,
Who in true identity was Ravana in disguise.
He knew that Sita would have no qualms,
In giving away and not defy.

In giving away, Sita crossed the line,
The Lakshman rekha; with powers divine.
Ravana seized her hand; she backed away,
But it was all in vain at the end of the day.

He pushed her into his chariot, and rode to his kingdom,
Lanka, the fabled land of wisdom;
And there he held her hostage for long,
For he had been awaiting Ram’s presence all along.

He knew Ram would come to free his beloved wife,
But it would lead to conflict and strife.
He waited patiently for the one most valorous,
Or so-called, as Ravana would say, thinking he was more glorious.

Then one day, with the Vanara-Sena,
Came Ram, along with his brother Lakshmana.
Supported by Vibhishana, plotting the strategy to kill,
The demon-king, with a growl shrill.

He readied his arrows, and shot straight upward,
Straight into Ravana’s navel.
It seemed preposterous to most,
But the arrow hit hard, and made him unstable.

Ravana was slain, and victory was theirs,
And as is said, “Good triumphs over evil.”
The news was joyous, the celebrations began,
Not only in Ayodhya, but also in the forelands.

People lit paths with earthen lamps,
Welcoming them to their motherland.
And that’s how emerged the idea of the glory,
Of the festival of prosperity, the auspicious Diwali.

True Goals

What really is a blessing?
Money, a mere paper
Fame, an utter attention
Bungalows, a waste of space
Run after these riches, what you’ll find is hunger
Boundless thirst makes grief knock your door
True riches are much like water
Never measured, never caged
The soft zephyr in endless greens
Mirth which brings tears
A loving hug from a precious jewel
A heavenly taste, a gleeful sight
Come sit by me, gaze the world
Material wealth they all possess
Tall skyscrapers they see each day
What they seek is what you have
The blessing to witness beauty of dust
True wisdom of how material wealth isn’t smiles.
