Republic Day was observed at The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, on Monday, January 26, 2026, in a solemn yet spirited manner, inspiring Shishyans to embrace the ideals of patriotism and collective responsibility.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Mr Vikram Singh Solanki from the school’s Transport Department, followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, Mrs Aparna Magee. She urged students to be citizens strong in values, fearless in spirit, and united in purpose, carrying the tricolour not only in the sky but also in their hearts.

The programme unfolded with vibrant cultural presentations. Students showcased their artistic and musical talents through the Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition, delivering soulful and stirring performances. A thematic dance presentation beautifully depicted India’s journey since 1947, highlighting resilience, unity, and progress.

An educator and a student from the Senior Block spoke on constitutional values, civic duty, and national pride, their words uniting experience with aspiration and reinforcing the spirit of Republic Day.

The celebration concluded as a powerful reminder of India’s glorious journey and every citizen’s role in nation-building. The atmosphere resonated with pride and patriotism, leaving all present inspired to uphold the ideals of the nation.

Jan 23, 2026 / Basant Panchami Celebration

‘True enlightenment begins with the pursuit of knowledge.’

Today, our little Shishyans celebrated Basant Panchami, a festival that marks the arrival of spring, with great enthusiasm and creativity. The day began with the chanting of the Saraswati mantra and a special vandana, setting a serene tone for the celebrations.

They showcased their artistic skills by creating beautiful flowers using varied techniques such as sponge dapping, paper mache and origami. The classroom was filled with a kaleidoscope of colours as children crafted roses, lilies, hibiscus, tulips, amaltas and sunflowers, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of spring.

To enhance their understanding of the festival, a PowerPoint presentation was shown, highlighting the significance of Basant Panchami and its association with the Goddess Saraswati, the patron of knowledge and arts.

The celebration aimed to instill an appreciation for nature, creativity, and the rich cultural heritage of India. The students participated with great zeal, and the event was a wonderful learning experience for all.

The day concluded with a sense of joy and a deeper understanding of the festival’s significance.

‘As spring blooms in nature, let learning and creativity bloom within you.’

Happy Basant Panchami!
