Our school celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. The day began with a Special Assembly (Darpan) by the students of Junior KG. Through a delightful magic show, the little scientists beautifully conveyed the message that science is present everywhere in our daily lives. Their creative performance helped everyone understand that science is not just in books, but all around us.

The assembly became even more inspiring as students dressed up as renowned scientists shared their remarkable contributions to the world of science. One student portrayed Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam launched a new rocket. Alexander Graham Bell explained his invention of the telephone. Isaac Newton also appeared in the assembly, describing his discovery of gravity and his valuable contributions to the world of science.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note with a lively dance performance. Students and teachers joined in the excitement, making it a memorable and energetic end to a wonderful day.

The National Science Day celebration was truly educational, inspiring, and full of fun, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for science.

Senior KG, Class I & II Shishyans conducted varied experiments in the classroom and the corridors. We are sure that through such interesting activities and experiments the children will develop a scientific temperament.

English Day in Classes I and II featured joyful language activities. It kicked off with a Musical Parade: kids circled to music, stopped on jumbled sentence strips, and rearranged them amid laughter and curiosity. Next came Hopscotch Thinking, where hopping on numbers prompted questions on reading, vocabulary, and grammar sparking confident, creative responses. Class I Shishyans also attempted a Prepositions Obstacle course, using words like in, on, and under for fun, physical learning. This combination of sporty activities and language enhancement games added spark and zeal to learning.

The spectacle of sportsmanship- a day filled with nostalgia and camaraderie

Indulging in sports and games fills one with joy and rekindles cherished moments that remain etched in the heart for a lifetime. With this spirit in mind, Shishukunj International North Campus thoughtfully organized a Parents and Grandparents Sports Extravaganza, ‘Umang’, on Sunday, February 01, 2026, on the expansive sports grounds of the North Campus. This vibrant mega event offered the parent community a wonderful opportunity to unleash their sporting spirit, strengthen bonds, and create memories that will be treasured forever.

The event commenced with a cordial welcome and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The Principal, Ms Aparna Magee, formally declared the exclusive event ‘Umang’, organised for the Parent Community, open. In her address, she beautifully highlighted how at Shishukunj, equal importance is accorded to sports, nurturing our Shishyans to grow into disciplined, confident, and well-rounded individuals. Addressing the gathering, the Director, Mr Manoj Davey, shared the Shishukunj philosophy with the august audience and emphasised the vital role of physical fitness in leading a healthy and balanced life.

On this occasion, Vice-Principal Ms. Pallavi Sukhtankar, Senior Headmistress Ms. Ameeta Choudhary, Headmistress (Foundational Stage) Ms. Rupashree Sapru and a team of educators were present to foster the spirit of sportsmanship among the participants and exemplify the school’s ethos of promoting physical fitness and teamwork. The whole campus reverberated with energy, enthusiasm, and passion displayed by the zealous participants.

The grandparents and parents sportively participated in all the events and relived the glory of their school days. The invigorated Sports Department, under the able mentorship of Mr. Ishwer Chand Gupta, meticulously planned the event, which featured nail-biting cricket matches, an intriguing badminton tournament, mind-stimulating chess battles, and fast-paced, thrilling table tennis encounters.

The participants thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious meals and great hospitality exhibited by the Shishukunj Family. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony which included the felicitation of the winners. The dedicated educators left no stone unturned to make the gala event memorable and the same was evident from the broad smiles on the faces of all the participants.
