Life and School Days

Vasudha Gupta, Class IX D

Life
Life is a journey
We walk through it slowly
Skipping and tripping, falling and soaring
It’s always fun, even though it gets boring
Near ponds we lurk
In waves we surf
From rocks we fall
Yet keep our crawl
Sometimes it rains
And suns a pain
But we walk through
And that’s how we grow!
School Days
School days were the ones
Where our hearts had sung
We could be anyone

And laugh in the sun.

The Lost Values

Pearl Pahuja, Class VIII B

The changing life, arrival of new generation has changed and developed our society. New ideas, more convenience in every way is a better way of lifestyle than the old generation, but the youth is now lost in their own world of gadgets and other convenient modes. They are happy alone and want their own privacy. Interference of anyone in their lives is disliked by them. They have forgotten the moral values that should be followed to make one a compatible and complete personality. The youth is getting influenced from each other and are choosing the wrong path. They have no respect for their family. Where parents, with a lot of love and affection make four children capable of handling themselves, their four children are not able to handle their two old parents but consider them a step to convenience and nothing more than that. They don’t even respect their grandparents who need their help in old age. Our grandparents are like a tree that protects us from all the difficulties. They even show us the correct path to be followed. They are even more experienced than us and have the ability to judge the decisions. They never let us entangle in troubles which they have faced in their lives. Knowing all this the young generation does not respect them. In a family get together no one talks about education, inspiring topics rather point out faults in others. Many children, after getting money, property, jewellery and other valuables from their parents, leave them or throw them out of their house. And their parents, in such a condition, when they are so old have to manage themselves. The youth should understand the importance of elders, they are our guardians and our well wishers, who really care and wish well for us. Therefore, it is the duty of the new generation to keep their well wishers happy because there are more enemies and more people who dislike you and very few well wishers in this world. Last but not the least they should never forget, as you sow, so you reap.

In the Lap of Happiness

Rishita Neema, Class VII A

Cherished childhood passes,
In her loving lap.
Mind gets relaxed,
Because of her and I begin to clap.
When I was happy
You swayed me.
In the worst days,
You never betrayed me.
You are the spirit of heaven,
Every time I made a mistake, I was forgiven.
We’ll remain together all my life,
And share secrets worth their while.
Well she’s my mom,
God is the person whom she came from.
Her attitude is optimistic,
And her face is fair.
She always helps me,
Whenever unhappiness I bear.

My Name is Rain

Adi Dantre, Class IX A

I am like a bursting bucket of water,
I emerge from the cynical water of life and death,
Falling like tears and descending from the clouds,
To rejuvenate young minds.
I am like the tears of god,
Crying for the loathsome sins committed,
Tears which emerge from a cycle and end a cycle in a fearful way.
I am the third eye of Shiva,
Bleeding destruction if too much and the same if less,
I am like the spark for fire,
Light for dark,
Cure for diseases and food for hunger.

I am rain.
