On Cloud 9

Today I am on cloud 9

You ask me why?

It is because I always want to shine.

Today I am on cloud 9.

I like soaring high in the sky.

You ask me how?

By not being shy.

Today I am on cloud 9.

I chase my dreams with all my might.

You ask me how?

By working hard even at night.

Today I am on cloud 9.

Today I am on cloud 9.

I thank everyone for everything.

I ask for blessings to help me shine.

Today I am on cloud 9.

The Soul Within

Beauty is not appearance

But the person within

Beauty is not arrogance

But the qualities in you and me

Beauty is not the face

But the soul inside

Beauty is not the sign of proudness

But the politeness of one

Beauty is not goal

But an important part of it

Beauty is not gifted

But created from within

Create your own beauty not by makeup and all but by seeking the true you!

Spring

They say beauty lies in the eye of the beholder
Very true I’ll have to say
The best months to realise this are March, April and May
Spring has sprung
Every year nature sung
Colours bright, bold and never dull
Myriad, vibrant and mystical!
Every leaf, petal, flower and tree
Has the spirit of being beautiful, serene and free!
I love nature lots, you’ll ask why
Well, the sight of flowers against the sky
Is the form of beauty that meets my eye.

The World Ends Here

It’s time to fear the world ends here…..

Everything was on fire,

Was our earth on funeral pyre?

l was petrified,

Due to heat everything was liquefied.

Mother Earth was about to shed its tears, in an atrocious fear.

All her production, had turned into destruction,

Due to the greed of human evolution.

Every soul is crying ‘cause it’s not clean,

Earth is dying because it’s not green.

And the world ends here, no time to say goodbye,

We all are gone and we all know why.

Suddenly I woke up at night, thanks to my ringing alarm, that gave my dream a good bite.

As I opened the window, I felt the gentle breeze,

Among the swaying trees.

Hearing the song of birds,

I was speechless with no words.

Then I saw the sunshine, what a beautiful day!

Under the trees, we can run and play.

Oh! God are you the creator, an artist, painter, imaginator.

All this gave me relief,

But now my dream has turned into real belief.

That it’s tomorrow’s reality,

We all have to change everyone’s mentality.

To not cut trees and deforestation to freeze.

We have to save mother’s flourishing nature.

No water to drain, will try to get more rain,

We will try our best again and again.

A Tree’s Thoughts

You see me,

I am a tree,

From all hardships of life,

I am free,

don’t you agree?

But now maybe more of me you won’t see,

What have I done?

The problem is,

That root of destruction (what was it again?),

Before which if you run,

You will seek yourself in vain,

On the pristine clothes of humanity it puts a disgraceful stain,

Summer, Winter, Spring, Autumn or rain,

From running behind it you should refrain,

You think I am lying,

Ok fine go running behind it down the drain.

And now what is it called,

If I don’t remember it that’s not my fault,

Oh yes it’s that m-mm-mo- yes MONEY,

I am getting old,

But for your needs I am still bold,

So then keep your legs on hold,

I can give you things better than gold,

‘Cause I am the one, sonny,

Who gives paper for money,

When friends and I can give you honey,

Why do you run for money?

Some human who had some brains,

Who had REAL blood in his veins, spoke:

I think that the old creature is right,

For the trees we must fight,

If we want to live,

Trees have to survive,

We must repay them,

‘Cause they give us precious oxygen,

They have always given and never taken,

I won’t ever see anything as glorious, majestic, clean and beautiful,

As a tree,

Aren’t these words correctly said by me ?

There can be nothing like a tree,

These words are not just said by a nature-loving-dude like me,

But by every one who loves the tree,

Don’t you agree?

Why Phraseology and (Positive) Psychology Should Concur

Let me tell you a story emphasizing upon the necessary instigation of the conventional habitude of affixing oneself to moral grounds, and yet the long-lost practice of not floccinaucinihilipilificating the commonly deprecated masses. The story also focuses its light on the power of having an equitable mindset, along with the indispensable usage of felicitous vocabulary…

“Twenty years ago, I, along with my dad, was waiting for the night bus to come, so that we could finally head home. Dad used to work the afternoon and evening shifts at the Berryman Café, and I used to pack his lunch and take it to him every day after school. We used to spend the evenings together, and would leave for home at eight each night, either by walking, or, if I got lucky, sometimes by the bus.

The pouring rain had been engulfed by the darkness, and I was feeling quite warm, huddled in dad’s oversized coat, standing in the sheltered bus station. On the opposite pavement, a disheveled man in ragged clothes was sluggishly raking the leaves off the thoroughfare. His eyes blinked ceaselessly due to the incessant rain, as his hands unremittingly scratched his chin. The man hopelessly looked around, and then got back to finishing his work.

Another boy my age was standing in the shelter with his father, presumably waiting for the same bus. His father pointed his finger at the man, and said, ‘Son, if you do not study, you will end up being like him.’
On hearing this, my face instinctively turned towards my dad. He gently placed his hand on my shoulder and smiled. Gesturing towards the tattered man, he said earnestly, ‘Son, if you study, you will be able to make the world a better place for him.’”

This beautiful story, is the perfect amalgamation of true hopefulness, and parlance, and emphasizes upon the necessary complementation of psychology, and phraseology— it shows us the power that positive psychology can have on a child’s mindset, at the same time, cautioning us, that this consciousness needs the right words, to leave an everlasting impact.

The eventual goal of both the fathers was the same— first, to make their child realize the importance of education, which, will, when all is said and done, brighten the child’s future. However, the basic dominant contrast between the psychology of the two children, growing up, would be this— The first child would be in constant fear of his future, and thus, his intrinsic motivation to perform well in life, will, at any point of time, be directed by trepidation of ending up like the battered man he had looked down upon, as a child. On the other hand, the latter, would try equally hard to accomplish something in life, but with hope, and wishful thinking in his heart, and not perpetual anxiety.

The first child may, or may not achieve something in life, but the latter will definitely be the one to bring the change the society yearns for. The second child, will be the one to amend the world, so that it becomes a better place for the people he looks forward to helping, with his efforts.
