The 7th of June 2047 was an absolutely frenetic day for me. I had no idea that I’d grow up to be the President of the United Nations and that I’d be forced to see such a horrible form of humanity. The world was sweltering because of global warming. It was filled with racist people, riots and crimes. My mother, Earth was suffering because its sons had lost their decency. I was being castigated around the globe for not addressing the needs of the society. I had to do something. Something that could bring an end to this dilemma. I decided to deliver a speech to the entire humankind. Before penning my thoughts down, I decided to write my speech in a prudent manner. But soon, I realized that being prudent could not bring a change. Then, I started writing my speech with a confident mind. I finally wrote a satisfactory but risky speech. Then, I made my way to the headquarters and proceeded to deliver my speech:

Humans Without Humanity

I extend a warm welcome to all of you. We humans, who are smarter than any animal or plant, have disregarded humanity. I am here to mention some fundamental things expected from a civilized man that all of us have forgotten. First, we have forgotten that we have lost pity towards animals, other humans, and our mother, Earth. We have forgotten that greatness becomes an imposter because of selfishness. We have forgotten that we were given a uniform opportunity to expand our civilization by the Earth and we do not respect its message of equality. I know that we humans are gifted with gracious forgetfulness but how could we forget to be perceptive? We know that creation of life is not possible without women and they should get the same respect as any other individual but still, women are being discriminated against. If you take a trip down memory lane then you will notice that mankind has lost its path several times. I conclude my speech by saying that ‘humans can’t be humans without humanity’.

I finished my speech with butterflies in my stomach. Amazingly, my speech did not pick up much controversy and a majority of people deeply considered my speech. The world was filled with tranquility and jubilation again. Racism began to vanish. Beautiful trees and colourful flowers made the Earth happy and cool again. Women were not being discriminated against anymore. My effort to make the world better was successful.
I wish that we learnt from our mistakes and followed everything expected from a kind and civilized human being!

Tony : Get up you silly cat !
Ollie : Nope.
( Tony gets startled to find his cat talking and screams )
Tony : Y-y-you c-can talk!
Ollie : Of course I can talk, do I look like a soft-toy to you ? Anyway I won’t go to the park. Now go away and let me sleep.
( Tony faints and comes to the next morning on his bed. )
Tony : That was obviously a dream.
( He finds Ollie enjoying cream like a normal, earthly cat and not a talking, alien, but just to make sure … )
Tony : Ollie ?
Ollie : Meaoww (continues savouring the cream… with a spoon. )
