Grandpa

Stuti Kasat, Class VI F

Grandpa is in my feelings
The special moments in my life’s innings.
With him I was at the top,
He always made me rock and pop.
He taught me lessons to move forward,
Quality of truth, love and kindness.
My life has a terrible part,
When fate took him apart.

Kalp Salvi, Class VI E

My best friend is my Grandpa
His best friend am I.
When we hike in the woods together,
I see things he doesn’t see.
We whisper and we listen,
To the forest old and wise.
Grandpa knows the birds’ songs,
And I am grandpa’s eyes.

Chris Thomas, Class VI E

My grandfather is Mr P C Joseph,
My mother’s father is he.
Kind, hardworking and ever courteous,
Are words that describe him well.
Even though he is approaching 70,
He keeps himself fit and active.
His generosity never fails to amaze me,
And I am inspired to consider him my role model.

My Baby Sister

Esha Turakhia, Class VI C

My favourite family member is my baby sister.
My baby sister Twisha.
She’s a bundle of love
As pure and peaceful as a white dove.
She is fair,
And has hair everywhere.
She is delicate and affectionate,
I give her the certificate of being effeminate.
She is full of energy and so quick,
Even before you realize, your specks would’ve had a lick.
I feel so excited and delighted,
When she wakes up in the night
And her eyes shine bright.
She becomes relieved and happy,
When we change her nappy.
I’m waiting for her to grow
And I really want her to know
That she adds colours in my life,

Just like a rainbow!

My Wonderful Mother

Urvashi Dighe, Class VI C

My favourite family member is my MOTHER
And she is not like any other.
She is the smell and taste of my favourite dish,
And the light of the brightest star.
She’s my god and my lord
And I promise her two things –
I would share everything with her
And would love her lifelong.
Made by Aditya Gandhi, VI C

Aditya Gandhi, Class VI C

She is my mother
She is my pride
She takes care of me
She is my smile.
            She has got a place
            Deep in my heart.
            I can never think
            Of being from her apart.

Ishaan Yadav, Class VI C

God has made my mother
And she made me,
She is the one who taught me how to
Walk and write the first
Letter of the English alphabet.
She is the one who
Is happy when I perform well
In any walk of life
And helps me improve
When I do not perform well.
She always stands by me
And takes care of
Every small thing for me.
Her love cannot be measured

And her gifts cannot be repaid.

My Sister

Nabh Patodi, Class VI F

I have a little sister,
Who is no less than a twister.
            Sometimes she is very sweet,
And makes my days a treat.
She is bossy and irritating too,
But those days are only a few.
Together we play, cry, laugh and fight,
She makes my world a lovely sight.

My Brother

Niral Palod, Class VI B

My brother is someone who is always there,
My brother is someone who will always care.
My brother is my inspiration,
As he always gives me motivation.
My brother makes me smile when times are blue,
He is the one who is very true.
My brother is my best friend,
And he will be there till the end.
I just want to let him know,
He means the world to me.
He is the blessing from god above,
He is the one that I will always love.
Richly blessed is how I feel,
Having a brother just like him.

My Father

Disha Gupta, Class VI D

My father is a little fat,
But he looks dashing in a hat.
He is a little short,
But he loves me a lot.
He fulfills all my wishes,
And loves eating new dishes.
His work is always perfect,
Which leaves a great effect.
He never scolds me,
Although he is busy as a bee,
He is always free for me.
He is successful in life,
And has a beautiful wife.
His company is a pleasure,
Which I will always treasure.

My Mother

Mahek Karnani, Class VI D

You are the one I love the most,
You are the one who is my host.
You always help me out whenever needed,
You are the one who always roams around with me.
You always keep us healthy,
You always keep us tidy,
You even give your food to us,
When we are hungry.
You are so caring,
I cannot believe.
You are the best mother,
I’ve ever seen.

The Irony

Tanya Rajani, Class X B

Gaiety disappears when I see
How ironical our society can be.
Thank her in the holy verse,
Kill her in the name of a curse.
Pray to her and call her a deity,
Obligate her to be a slave of the society.
Worship her in the name of a goddess,
Molest her in the name of a temptress.
Take seven promising rounds to make her a wife,
Then compel her into an ocean of strife.
Promise her all the love and protection,
Whistle at her to seek unworthy attention.
Gaiety disappears when I see,

How ironical our society can be.
