Point of View

A raindrop plopped on my nose
I raised my gaze up to the grey sky
I opened my umbrella, I offered you one, too
But you shook your head no, I wonder why?

As you smiled and danced and twirled
The rain grew harsh and cold
I sulked and complained about the horrible weather
I couldn’t stand it anymore

So, I ran under a parking shed
And watched the rain soak everything wet
I shivered as cold crawled up my spine
But you danced there, looking alright

I frowned at the storm, waiting for it to stop
You ran towards me and pointed at a rainbow
But all I could see were pale grey clouds
And the flaring rain crying with sorrow

You pulled me into the terrible showers
We were standing in the same rain
But I couldn’t understand why you were delighted
By this thunderstorm that caused me only pain

I followed your footsteps and
Set my umbrella aside for a minute
I laughed and twirled like you were doing
When I realized ‘The world morphs into how you see it.’

My Brother

My brother sleeps a bit,
then creeps a bit,
then beeps a bit,
then he leaps a bit.
He is a lad,
he is sometimes bad,
he is definitely mad,
but is never sad.
He behaves like a chimp,
and he caws,
and then he baws,
I don’t know he does it
how?
He thinks he’s a knight,
but first he should gain weight and height.
He is very stiff and vibrant,
I don’t know why this boy is so
aberrant!
My brother is such a dunce
I think because he plays with my guns.
I love my brother so much,
Much more than the population of
Rann of Kuchh!

Winter Mornings

Sneezing, freezing I get up in the winters
I wear socks and jacket and see off myself like beginners

I feel pity for myself
As I could not sleep for long
Seeing others enjoying themselves
A pretty deep slumber along

I go to drink milk
In the balcony where I could get cold,
Could get sneezing sick
which could get uncontrolled

But I refuse to leave that place
As there I feel bonded with nature’s face

All those green leaves, beautiful flowers and sunshine
Reading newspaper and passing my time

Looking at those playful birds
But must say more peaceful squirrels
Playing the game – “Who gets the food faster” with birds
Whereas the other participants quarrel

But alas!
Here ends my joyous winter morn
I will always look forward to it
for my life to adorn.

Social Media

This is the media that almost all use,
It has a lot of apps from which we can choose.
Famous apps like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook
A place where even lazy or unskilled can learn to cook.

It has many advantages and disadvantages,
and can be used by all ages.
Genres like gaming, vlogging, cooking and many more,
Not something by which you can get bored.

Lots of creativity it generates in our mind.
Which in mass, we can find.
It is also a good source of income,
Which may be more or fair for some.

Nowadays, too much use spreads hate,
and some people also use it as bait.
We need to stop the bad use of this,
and stop to swear, spread hate and diss.

School Days

Don’t you miss carrying your mother’s love in a tiffin box?
Don’t you miss sitting with your friends in the history class?
Don’t you miss the sound of the bell and coming back home?
Now, home is class and class is home and class doesn’t feel like home!
Here’s an advice from a poet,
You’ll find home in every moment you become determined to learn!
Look around there’s so much to learn!

Yeah That’s Me…

My friends call me ‘dude’
That becomes a little rude
I depend on my mood
And eat little food

No one knows my little secrets
That I keep secluded
I am a lonely person unless
I confess to my teddy bear

I want to live till 30
To see me purdy (pretty)
I have only one aim
To make a good name

I think I am unique
This was a sneak peek
I know I am the best
Because I have just expressed ….

Mothers’ Day – Everyday!

*Mother* is a very special term. A mother takes away all the pains of her family members. A mother is a person sent by God on the Earth. So, never disrespect your Mother in any case. Those who get her are very fortunate. Let’s celebrate this Mother’s Day together. Today, we all have written a poem for her and I know, a poem can make her face smile. Today, we will complete this task from within.

*MOTHERS DAY‐ EVERYDAY!*

Every day is Mother’s day,
So we should all celebrate,
From her, my mistake can’t escape,
She reads my mind by looking at my face.

This lady is my mother,
Also my well‐wisher,
Her inspiration helped me touch the seven colors,
Oh Mother! You are my well‐wisher.

You are the apple of my eyes,
Your love doesn’t have any prize,
You gave me feathers to rise,
Oh Mother! You are the apple of my eyes.

You are my backbone,
This gives me strength in every zone,
I am speechless to describe the efforts you have shown,
Oh Mother! You are my backbone.

You possess a special place in my heart,
So that you can’t go apart,
You are my end and start,
Oh Mother! You are my heart.❤

Mother

Mother
Is not just a word,
It’s an emotion on love, care and affection

She has been sent as a gift from god
Those who got her, got a reward
In her eyes are bright shining stars
In her cheeks are red roses
A mother never gets tired
A mother never gets old

God blessed me with one angel
I am proud to call her my own
She has guided me throughout my life
She is a great mother and wife
She spreads her joy and happiness
In her own caring way

You inspire me everyday, Mom
You have held my heart
I am the lucky one, as I get to
Call you, MOTHER

My heart

Mothers’ Day!

Mother oh Mother!
Around you I always hover.
Like a bee over a blooming flower,
You take care of me hour after hour.

You swaddled me, shushed me and hushed me too,
You make me happy when I am blue.
With your constant love, patience and care,
Nothing can ever be in despair.

Even if you were sad, angry or agitated,
You pretended to feel elated.
From helping me with my homework
To making my exams go like clockwork.

Beyond the realm of responsibilities
And the realm of professional ones too,
I know there is a kid in you too,
That wants to play like she used to.

And I pray this mothers day that the kid inside you gets her wish
So I’ll do something Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo-ish!!!
