Bonafide Rhapsody

Getting off from the hectic life schedule felt at first like a boon in disguise. So many plans and imaginations flashed in my mind like splurging on quality time, effort for immaculate surrounding, me time and so on.

However, after just one-week, the total lockdown had become excruciatingly unbearable yet I could do nothing but bite the bullet and go on. Despite interminable activities on the wish list, I was losing delight in life. There was neither desire nor interest in any activity. I struggled in every feasible way to engage myself but succumbed to ennui.

Then one fine day, I came across a motivational story titled ‘A Family in Lockdown’ (Noah’s Ark). This short story left a strong impression on me. I not only expressed my indebtedness to my friend for posting such an eloquent picture but also gave my word of honour to stay positive, to buckle down and mould everyday so stupendous that my yesterdays get green with envy.

I peeked into my inner self and knocked at my hobbies. Besides writing, I have a crave for artistic skills and melody. Thus, my fingers assisted by my vocal-chords conjoined to revive the essence of spiritualism.

I understood that the key to exhilaration is to emerge out of the onerous sitch as tough situations only build strong people.

Therefore, my energetic students stay positive, work hard and make it happen. Every weird situation normalises one day. The day will come when we’ll rise and regenerate ourselves from this gloom when our nation will challenge and break the fetters of darkness.

On that account, I wrap up my emotions with a word of prayer:

“O’ my mother India, arise and answer for thy children’s sake

Guide us to face this challenge and revitalise yourself

As the empress of the universe.”

The Wonder of Shapes in Nature

Nature, a place of optical illusions, landmarks, landforms and breath-taking views. A place full of excitement and surprises… Sometimes nature hides the shapes like a rainbow which is a semicircle or a leaf which is an oval. Everything in nature has its shape, from the flat plains to the high mountains. These geometrical shape are very important for the earth and to support life. The conical mountains help rivers to flow properly, plains support better life, the circular sun which provides us heat and light is also a part of this nature. These shapes hold a special place in the nature which we are trying to destroy.

Respect Earth and respect nature.

Love Myself

I don’t care if I love unicorns
Or if I am fond of old Beyoncé songs
No problem if my jeans are torn
Or if I get all my DIY’s wrong

Even if I guzzle all the jam
Even if I am a Harry Styles fan
Even if I never chew my ham
I just love the way I am

Why do I need to change my ways
When even Justin said, “Love Yourself”
How does the world matter to me?
I’ll always choose to adore myself!

A Summer Night’s Dream

It was a stormy night. Tom wanted to be up till late but his mom ordered him to get into the bed. He fell into a deep sleep but soon some sounds woke him up. He peeped out of the covers cautiously. The house was eerily silent. Except for a strange sound and a silly giggling!

There were violent winds and screeching noises, shadows and other scary sounds. Tom was already scared when he heard “meeeooow” and a loud thud. The sound was a piano tune familiar to Tom. He had it heard earlier in a movie. He was not able to recall that movie, but due to the circumstances around him his heart started pounding and he himself declared it to be a ghost!!

After a long debate between his heart and mind he finally gathered some courage and moved down on tip toe. On hearing the sound again, he was able to make out that the sound was coming from outside the house. After reaching down he decided to peep through the living room windows to check who was outside. Without making himself visible he peeped out of the window and saw absolutely nothing there. Then he decided to go near the backyard door and see if there was something. As he started moving towards the backyard the sound became louder. Tom plucked up some courage and asked, “Who’s there?” On receiving no reply, he repeated, “I…is somebody there?” As he opened the backyard door there was a bright flash of light. When he opened his eyes after the flash, he saw something which looked like a part of a big machine which had fallen on the ground.

Now he recalled that he had heard that piano tune in his favorite alien movie and he had also seen that part where a big machine fallen from space. It was the part of a spaceship. Just then, something touched him on his knee. He looked down to see a small, green thing with a huge head and big, cute eyes. He put out his trembling hand. As soon as it touched the thing’s outstretched hand, he got a shock!

Suddenly, he heard a sound “Tom get up and have your breakfast”. He woke up, hugely relieved that all that had been a dream. He got ready and went down for breakfast. The breakfast was served in the backyard. But…..when he reached there, he saw the same machine part lying in a corner of the backyard. And ….he couldn’t be sure, but he saw cute, big eyes peeping from within a bush. Now, he was breathlessly waiting for night …..
